About Faradj Koliev
Faradj Koliev is a researcher at the Department of Political Science and Institute for Future Studies. His research interests are international organizations, labor rights, environmental regulations, and NGOs.
He is the principal investigator of the research project “The impact of international NGO naming and shaming on states’ environmental policies”, funded by Formas. He is an investigator in the research project “Transformative partnerships for sustainable development: Assessing synergies, effectiveness and legitimacy of UNs multi-stakeholder partnerships across SDGs to achieve the 2030 Agenda”, also funded by Formas. Currently, he is also working on a book project related to international labor standards.
Koliev had previously been MP for the Social Democratic party in Sweden. He has published numerous op-eds in Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet. His academic publications have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Peace Research, Political Studies, International Political Science Review, and The British Journal of Politics and International Relations.
Koliev has taught courses in Swedish politics, international relations, quantitative methods, and international organizations, at both bachelor and master levels.
